Our Coaching

Methodology

Our coaching framework follows a structured, level-based syllabus aligned with competitive Taekwondo standards. Training is periodized and outcome-driven, with regular technical assessments, physical evaluations, and belt examinations to track athlete readiness and progression. Sessions integrate correct techniques, footwork patterns, timing drills, flexibility, speed, endurance, and strength conditioning, ensuring balanced athletic development.

Competition-oriented athletes receive focused training in sparring strategy, poomsae accuracy, scoring awareness, match simulations, referee commands, and rule interpretation. Safety is prioritized through controlled contact, progressive load management, protective equipment usage, and supervised drills. Each session is designed to enhance technical precision, tactical awareness, competitive confidence, and performance consistency, preparing athletes for inter-club, district, state-level and National-level competitions.

Our Facility

United Taekwondo Club features a spacious 1,300 sq. ft. training area with 20-ft high ceilings, designed to support safe, unrestricted movement and high-quality training. The facility includes an state of art practice hall with well laid out anti skid mat and air-conditioned comfortable waiting area, ensuring a pleasant experience for both students and parents. Dedicated parent seating allows families to observe training sessions. For high performance training students, we offer a well-equipped weight training and gym area to support strength, conditioning, and fitness goals.

What is Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art known for its powerful high kicks, fast footwork, and dynamic jumping and spinning techniques, combined with effective hand strikes. The term Taekwondo means “the way of the foot and hand” and was formally established in 1959 with the formation of the Korea Taekwondo Association. Rooted in traditional unarmed martial arts, Taekwondo offers excellent cardiovascular fitness, practical self-defence skills, and personal development for all ages. Recognized globally as a sport, it became an official Olympic medal event at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Who can join United Taekwondo Club?

Our programs are open to children, teens, and adults of all fitness levels. Beginners are welcome—no prior martial arts experience is required.

What age can children start Taekwondo training?

Children can typically start training from 3.5 years onwards, depending on their readiness and attention span.

How often are classes held?

Classes take place three times a week, typically in the evenings.

Do I need any prior experience to join?

No. Our structured training system is designed to guide students from beginner to advanced levels safely and confidently.

How does belt progression work?

Is there a trial class available?

Does the program support competitions?

Our training prepares students for inter-school and zonal competitions & demonstrations . Our Competition training is for athletes preparing for high level tournaments. 

Students need a Taekwondo uniform (dobok). Protective gear is required for sparring and will be guided by the coach.
